I love walking out our back door to pick up fresh herb. One of the many joys of summer.
Earlier this week, our Thai basil plants were exploding so I went outside to grab some to make basil squid.
Basil squid is squid stir fired with lot of chilies, garlic and basil leaves. It is usually served on rice as one dish meal for breakfast or for lunch- often topped with crispy fried egg. Of course, in Thailand, it also appears as one of courses in a shared family style meal.
