Dried Shrimp Spicy Salad
One thing I love about dad is that he is excellent home cook. He enjoys cooking, experimenting new recipes and always makes kitchen magic right in our home.
He usually spends hours in kitchen cooking, baking whenever he frees from work,
lucky my mom.:-)
One of daddy's dishes I love is dried shrimp spicy salad. It is favourful, tasty yet light and healthy. We love to pair it with a bowl of porridge.
Today I am sharing with you Dried Shrimp Spicy Salad's recipe.
Ingredients
100 grams dried shrimp
2 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 tablespoon palm sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
10 chilies, roasted
10 small shallots, roasted
Method
Marinate dried shrimp with fish sauce for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile roast chilies and shallot until are soft and charred. Then with pestle and mortar, lightly pound chilies and shallot. Then add sugar, palm sugar, lime juice, chilies and shallot to the marinated dried shrimp. Toss well until the sugar dissolve completely. Serve with porridge or steamed rice If time allows, let stand for few hours for better taste.
If anyone has a suggestion of what else to do with dried shrimp, I would like to hear them.
